SaluTO introduces itself at the Turin International Book Fair.

Event - SaluTO 2022

What is the relationship between our health, the environment we live in and genetics? What does the science say and what are the most dangerous fake news on these issues instead?

This was discussed at the Turin Book Fair on Thursday, May 19, in a short talk show previewing the 2022 edition of SaluTO – Turin. Medicine and Wellness.

At the University of Turin, speakers included:

Ezio Ghigo, SaluTO Scientific Coordinator, Full Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases;

Umberto Ricardi, Director School of Medicine, University of Turin and Full Professor of Radiotherapy;

Federico Mereta, science journalist.

SaluTO is the project aimed at a national audience, which aims to counter fake news in the medical field on health and wellness issues and to make academic scientific medical knowledge accessible to all, encouraging direct confrontation between citizens, medicine and research.

Created in 2019, it is now a well-established event of the autumn in Turin. It is conceived and realized by the School of Medicine of the University of Studies and the City of Turin, in collaboration with the Polytechnic, and by YEG!, which takes care of the creative and organizational part.

The dialogue between citizens and the medical-scientific community is enriched each year by the testimonies of ambassadors and key figures from the world of culture, entertainment and sports.
